Thanks for all the advice given in this thread too, my guy has looked into the whole visa thing more than I have, which is kind of nice. At the moment he is a stay at home dad but his previous occupation is something we need in Aus (well that's what he tells me lol) so I'm hoping if we decided to live here that'll help get him a permanent visa.
