My girlfriend and I have been together for over 2 years. We started at the same high school, but when We are just about done with our first year of college. We have brought up the idea of transfering many times throughout the year, but not too seriously. She is on the softball team, so it would be harder for her to transfer. For awhile I have been trying to justify transfering. I even went and applied to her college. I am still waiting to hear back if I am accepted (but I am almost confident I will get in no problem). After I applied, I was almost confident I was going to be transfering. Now a couple days later, I have completely flipped around and I don't want to transfer. This was after my mom texting me making sure I was making sure I was making this change for myself and not because my gf is a "driving force and I can't say no". This text really made me think about why I was going to transfer. Was it because I didn't like where I am at and thought her school would be a better fit, or was it because I wanted to be with her regardless of what school I was at? So now she is (understandably) upset with me. She had her hopes up and I just crushed them. I am wondering if anyone was ever in that sort of situation or if anyone could be an unbiased judge to help give me some advice.
