I've been looking for jobs and going to events in Vegas for a long time esp. sponsored by my school, but I feel like these job fairs and mixers are not sincere. I feel like they're trying to create jobs that don't really exist or if they do it's unpaid or low pay internships or on call positions
. Also Harrah's the company where they have Ballys, Paris, and pretty much own half the strip are in a $40 billion debt in the red and will collapse any minute. Overall, I feel Vegas is a declining industry and this summer is going to be the worst because in this economy the last thing people want to do is go on a vacation. Not only that, but in asian countries they're starting to legalize gambling and Macau is expanding! So I decided to pack my bags to improve my chances to find a job in a more diverse economy which is in Phoenix. Even though it was unexpected and last minute, time is money and money is time and I know the unemployment rate is lower and much more stable. So after I graduate, I will be moving to Phoenix and closing the distance with my honey!
Yay, for new opportunities and new beginnings!
