So, we recently (FINALLY! after 3 years and 3 months) met (I'll post the complete story sometime in the future). And I found out she's crazy about "I love Lucy".
I didn't even mean this to be Valentine's Day present at first, in fact, I just wanted to give her something and as she's not much of a concrete presents girl, I just used my limited photoshop skills and recreated the image bellow using pictures of us and doing a bit of a change to the title. I'm the type of person who, when feels like doing something, just does it. I don't wait for a special date to give presents or a special occasion to do something special.
Over here, our version of Valentine's Day (Dia dos Namorados) is on June 12th, but as I'm an English teacher, I'm very aware of this holiday, since we celebrate all English speaking countries holidays at my school.
The past week, I sent her a 3 pages letter, a kid picture of me (cause she gave me 2 of hers and I FORGOT I had taken her one of myself to give her) aaaand a flashdrive of all the videos we took when we met. But as it turns out, the envelope won't be there till 2 weeks. I was thinking it'd be a great Valentine's present, but it'd be late and I'd have to tell her I sent her something over the mail for Valentine's and, frankly, that'd be purposeless.
So today I had the brilliant idea of making that image but Valentine's Day completely flew over my head... I didn't even remember it till I'd finished. LOL. When I thought of it, I was chatting with her, eager for her to get home so I could email the picture, but I decided to WAIT 2 days and surprise her with it. I was so happy to have remembered it. I don't wait for holidays, but I'd never done something THIS special and it's our first Valentine's Day after we've met and... just... the universe aligned for me to have this idea right now.
Now I'm wondering how I'm gonna do it. I'll probably just send her the "Daily Picture-of-us e-mail" (something I decided to do since I came back and had to leave her) with the picture and all decorated for Valentine's Day.
I hope she likes it. Here goes the official picture. I'll post our picture after she sees it
Now let me start writing that long post about "How I Met The Mother of My Adopted Children"
