    Valentine's Day! Help!!

So Valentine's Day is coming up and I have no idea what to get my SO!! I am planning on baking him something to send but I don't know what else to get him.

Ladies what are you getting your man?

Men what would you want from your lady?

    Any advice is helpful!!

    Thank you!!!

Same here so I'll probably stalk this thread. <_< >_>

My SO doesn't like the traditional things really because he thinks that the whole buying candy/animals/etc is gifts for the woman in the relationship and not the man. XD
So, I'm a bit lost on what to actually give him other than a card and a letter. The pink teddy bear is totally out though, especially now since he moved lol. I may end up combining his valentines day gift with his birthday gift (so that I can spend more on it) if I don't come up with some idea or steal something from here.
"Babe, I'm totally murdering everyone in this building right now! ... You would be so proud of me."
This. This is only one of the reasons that I love this man. XD

"I'll surrender up my heart and swap it for yours."
    Por siempre, mi amor. ♥

I'm getting my SO a drawing pad and some stuff to draw with. He likes to draw in his spare time but hasn't done it in awhile. I've seen a few of the things he's done and he's pretty good. So, I'm getting him this to help encourage him to pick it back up. I really hope he likes it.

I'm going to send him a card, and also a vest I am in the process of crocheting, and I used Valentines Day (and his birthday which is the month after) as an excuse to my a few more gifts.. I bought a cute mug and coaster and a cute photo frame and put our photos in.. But also bought two of them so I could have one of all those things too. I'm a bit more into the cutesy things and my SO likes gifts to be practical.... that's why I like crocheting things for him, because they can be practical (even if they look a bit weird and only appropriate to wear around the house.. since I'm still a beginner.. maybe advanced beginner..) but also are cute and personal.

My advice is think about his interests and think about what he likes and talks about. I struggled sometimes thinking about what to get my SO but then when I thought about it, I just had to think about what he's interested in.. and go from there. Though the mug and coaster and picture frame was more cutesy and I wanted them so I wanted to buy him one too so I could justify buying them too. But I know he loves gardening and plants so I've ordered him plants online before and tools and things. I think a lot of guys like practical gifts that suit their interests best. Baking something would be lovely, I wish I could do that for my SO but unfortunately they'd be stale and probably would be denyed by customs anyways. I'm sure you'll think of something. I see your relationship is fairly new, so I guess that's why you are wondering about this. Try not to worry too much. I think your SO will be happy with whatever you give him.

I tend to buy "useful" presents for my SO, things which I know he needs. I haven't quite decided yet what it's going to be this Valentine's... it's a toss up between some new shirts, and a kitchen appliance of some sort

Thanks guys... And I usually like to buy practical gifts too but we just had Christmas, and his birthday is less than a month after Valentine's Day so that makes it kinda hard... I know what he likes and all, but it just seems like all the gifts for Valentine's Day are directed towards women and I've never had to buy a Valentine's Day gift for a man before so I just don't know what women typically get their boyfriends for this holiday.

              HI!
I'm new to this so bear with ^_^

For Valentines I disagree with anything practical. And sometimes its difficult with cash being tight.
SO this year I am making a Mix-CD with meaningful songs to us [including a lil note about each one] and decorating it. Super soppy but effective
However, if your fella likes chocolate... there are ways to be creative and thoughtful with this! For part of himself s birthday I got him some chocolate hearts and said each one resembled a kiss from me, and also equaled one when we met up next. Cheesey but effective

The issue I'm having at the moment is deciding what to cook! Himself is coming to visit on the day and I want to cook something special! [Even though I'm rubbish at cooking] Currently stuck on a starter/appetizer as all the ones online suggest using fish or cheese... which himself hates... can anyone help me aswell?

I'm sending a heart shaped box with little things of mine in, plus some chocolate, I've wrapped the box up in my clothes and wrote a little note with something about the piece of clothing on

I like your ideas! I think I might take some of those ideas! As for the appetizer I think it depends on what the main dish is but an appetizer I like is bruschetta:https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipe...ato_and_basil/ there is the link to a recipe or spinach and artichoke dip https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/...ipe/index.html you can google and find lots of great recipes!

If you are low on funds, you could always make a slideshow of the two of you using songs that mean something to the both of you. However, you can only do this if you have met a time or two and actually have pictures of you together, lol.

The sad thing is is that if a person is low on funds or wanting something low budget, it is kind of hard to figure out gifts. That's the boat I am currently in, and I have done all of the low budget things I can think of, lol. Having said this, I will more than likely stalk this thread too. :P

So I found a camouflage picture frame matting on Etsy and I ordered it last night; it was pretty cheap which is good. We both love hunting and fishing, and camouflage is his favorite color. I'm going to print one of the pictures from our last visit and I'm looking for a frame that will look nice with the matting. I plan on finding a nice card and maybe some chocolates. I'm gonna bake him one of his favorite sweets "slutty brownies" and send those as well.

When I was there last month, we went around a few places looking for martini glasses and couldn't find any... so I decided I would get him martini glasses. When I looked on Ebay, I say this set that had two martini glasses, a glass frame with a little heart on it, and some fake rose petals. I thought it was absolutely perfect for valentines day, so I got him that. It will arrive a little early though, so I'll just ask him not to open it until the day (or whenever we chose to celebrate)

We don't really do Valentine's day, but I'll most likely bake him some cookies, he loves my cookies (at least that's what he tells me!). If I'm feeling extra generous, I might get him an RC helicopter, a small one. He's always talking about them, but won't buy it himself. I may wait until his birthday for that, though.

                              Hi
Long time lurker who registered simply to post in this thread :P

I don't know if any of you have the Pair app on your phone (If not...get it! It's amazing)
but what I did was take all of the drawings that we made on the pair app and assembled them into a picture collage for a pillow on cafepress. They have super cheap shipping too so it was only $7 USD to send it northern Europe (sorry...don't want to put his country since I know he lurks here too lol).
If you don't have pair you can use other things of course...like pics, drawings, letters, whatever. But I thought it would be cute to do the pair drawings because that way he'll have them forever, you know.
                              Anyway..that's my idea!
