    Gift Bummer!

I received a coupon for FTD.com for 25% off anything, so I went on there to see if I wanted to find something for the boyfriend for Valentine's Day even though we have already exchanged gifts. I found a cute heart-shaped cookie cake that said "Happy Valentine's Day" and thought it would be perfect because he LOVES cookie cakes. With the discount the cost of the cake was $30. Okay I can handle that. I get to checkout and see that there is a $19.99 delivery fee! Umm what?! I'm sorry, I'm not paying $50 for a cookie cake, especially when I just paid $136 for a new car battery today.

Now I'm considering ordering him a pizza and having them put pepperonis in the shape of a heart then delivering it to him We'll see! What's something that you've had delivered to your SO that wasn't a package actually from you that you packed?

For his last birthday, I got cookies sent to him with Mrs. Fields and added a corny message. Unfortunately for me, the American site was not happy with my Canadian credit card so I had to call in to place the order. Spent a good 15 minutes carefully telling the nice lady on the phone my exact message and all the punctuation I wanted. Pretty sure I still have my message memorized after saying it so many times. Was on campus for the call, so I definitely sounded like a crazy person I noticed in the confirmation e-mail that a few commas were missing, so I called back to get them put in...

Cookies came on time and my SO loved them. I think they also have cookie cakes and when I called in, she looked through all the current coupons to get me the best deal, so maybe you could give that a try? Not sure how it'll be around Valentine's day though.

I would like to know if it is possable to have flowers (or anything else, for that matter) delivered in another country. Are there perhaps international companies who do this? Nice if someone out there knows. Whatever I send SO takes 3 weeks, so if I could get something delivered locally it would make my job a bit easier

I already celebrated Valentine with my boyfriend, together with his birthday. I brought him a red velvet heart-shaped box of chocolates, in addition to his birthday presents and cakes. I also included a Valentine letter (and a birthday letter) in his Open When...-letters. I want to do something on the day itself, perhaps get an electronic card .

With my husband I will fly to another city. We will go get some nice food and probably exchange gifts and cards. We have the whole weekend at a hotel which is long time since we did last, and will go to a concert (our Christmas present to us) and see friends there .
I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain

That is hilarious! The cookie cake was also going to be Mrs. Fields I believe. I ended up ordering the pizza from his local Pizza Hut to be delivered to him Friday. I then had to call the Pizza Hut and explain that it was a gift and that I lived in Georgia and ask them to put the driver's tip on my card. I was so embarrassed because of my southern accent :/ I noticed your SO lives in San Diego; mine lives in Oceanside! Just north of S.D. Cool!

It really depends on the country. If there are companies, you should be able to pay with Visa/Mastercard. Google is your friend.

Maybe a local florist? I use one in my hometown to order flowers for my Mum sometimes, and it accepts my foreign credit card just fine, but it will probably vary florist to florist.

To OP, I've had things delivered via amazon- I sent him a book "A Lovely Love Story" when he was feeling down one time. I love amazon as it accepts cards from different countries. I always wanted to send my SO one of those cookies, or a giant fortune cookie, but you are right- the delivery is always so expensive!

Yes Amazon truly is wonderful Though we don't have to worry about foreign cards, it's still a great site to find absolutely anything. The book idea is really sweet! SO loves to read, I'll have to keep that idea in mind. I can't wait until he gets his pizza tomorrow! I feel like that's such an awesome thing to have delivered to a guy ha.
