I don't have much money either this year so what I have been doing is making picture boards for the people I'm the closest to. I get a big poster frame (a 22x24 at walmart is $16) and I print out a bunch of pictures from my own printer. I wrapped the back of the frame in a colored wrapping paper so it's not that ugly brown lol and arranged the pictures. I put one 8x10 in the middle and got some cute stickers from the scrapbook section at Michaels which was less than $5. I made one for my sister for her birthday next month and I had a plaid pink and green ribbon left over from another craft project I made lol and made it frame the 8x10. I wish I have a picture to show because I feel like I sound all confusing as I'm trying to explain.

I'm not sure where you live...but don't do it through UPS or FedEx. Use your regular post office services...it is wayyyyy cheaper. The first package I sent my SO was a t-shirt...UPS wanted like $110 to ship it. The postal service was $20. If you are sending alot of things in one box see if you can split them up into smaller packages. It will save you money.it's not a dream anymore, it's worth fighting for

Other than that, I'd appreciate if he noticed that I'd spoken about really liking something, and then surprised me with that. Gifts that have to do with my hobbies and things I collect are always great. This year I'd also really appreciate practical gifts like cookware. Last year I really loved the handbag and wallet set he gave me.
But yeah, there's no fail-safe girl gift unfortunately. Sentimental gifts are usually well received by women though.Happily married to the little Canadian boy I never thought I'd meet in person

I came across this page today and thought this was a cute idea for a gift or surprise for your long distance SO...
https://thedahlingdatingdivas.blogsp...n-for-fun.html
It's a little crafty project where you make a little fake prescription for "fun" or "love" or whatever you want. I'm going make mine "Treatment for long distance relationship (because the only cure will be having you here with me!)" Cheesy but whatever. My SO appreciates the occasional cheesy gesture. (I've noticed being in a LDR makes cheesiness more acceptable.)
Anyways, you fill the prescription bottle with those little "grow-a-dinosaur/animal" foam things. (they'e little capsules that you throw in hot water and they expand forming a shape. They kinda look like little pills. Then, according to the website you hide them for your SO to find randomly in the house. I was thinking you could alter this to better suit your situation, such as taking pictures on your camera phone of the little foam guy in random places and sending it one another. or you could not do the game part and just have them keep it on their nightstand so they can be reminded of you whenever they see it.
Just an idea.
The best part is, this is SO cheap. I picked up a pack of 12 "grow-a-dinosaur" things today for 1.50! and I already having old empty pill bottles all over my room (woo hoo, thank you anxiety!)[CENTER]"True love doesn't mean being inseparable; it means being separated and nothing changes."
