    Hello! New here. :)

    Hi, my name is Kizuna.
My SO and I have been keeping in touch daily through texting, fb messaging, and skyping at least once a week, but some days I just really really miss him...so I decided to join this forum to get some support.

I'm a 20 year old college student who lives in Washington State.
I'm in a LDR with my SO who lives in Toronto for almost 11 months now. Time flies so fast!
We met through an online forum back in January of this year, and we clicked the moment we started talking.
We have many common interests, love talking to each other, and despite him being 8.5 years older than me, it doesn't feel that way.
He came to visit me for a week during the summer and it was the best week of my life!
We love each other wholeheartedly, and wish to be united one day for good.

Some people around me tell me that LDRs never work.
I too used to be one of those people who were skeptical about LDRs, let alone online ones.
But now that I'm in one, I know that if both parties are fully committed to each other and love each other, it can work.

Anyway, I'd love to meet new people and make new friends!

It may interest you to know that, statistically speaking, LDRs don't actually fail any more frequently than standard relationships (and if that isn't good news, I don't know what is)!
Welcome, and good luck to you in your long-distance love adventure!

if that is your SO in your picture (avatar) he looks familiar. If i may ask what is he doing in Toronto? If he's going to Uni what Uni may i ask? (i lived Toronto up until Oct 2011 which is why i ask )

Treasuretrooper <-- how I helped pay for some of my LDR expenses when I was in one.

He works part time at two different jobs. I'm pretty sure he hasn't been to college for at least 2 years...and at least 6 years for Uni. (I have no idea which colleges he went to though. I should ask him.)
