Hello there LFAD Community!
My name is Kim and I started my LDR 12/15/11 with my SO who is 800 miles away in West Virginia. We met through World of Warcraft through one of my best friends from high school. After talking for about a year we finally confessed our feelings and decided to pursue a LDR. When he asked me to be in a relationship with him he said "I don't know exactly how a long distance relationship works, but I want to make this work." Since then he has made it work by coming out to visit me twice, and I will be going out to his place during my spring break in March!
This site has given me more hope knowing that people can make it through a LDR and be together. It is nice to be able to hear from people going through the same thing and that me and my SO are not alone in this situation! I can't wait to start trying out some of these LDR activity suggestions
And before I go out to see my SO I am planning on getting the LFAD bracelets and hiding one on his carkeys before I leave (if I can be sneaky enough...).
Anyways, thought I would rather be active on here and introduce myself than just be another lurker!
