My name's Nathalie, it all started when my baby sister thought it'd be a great idea if her closest friend (let's call him 'Tony') ended up with her big sister (me). She kept telling us amazing things about each other and how we'd be a great together. We started talking and became friends via texting. I currently work in Mississippi and they all live in South Florida. I took a month of vacation to come to Florida, visit my family and to get to know him better. After returning to Mississippi, I wanted a commitment and realized that he wasn't ready for one, so we went our separate ways but remained friends. I ended up dating another guy for about four months. Christmas was quickly approaching and I needed a date, so I decided to ask Tony to be my date for the Holiday Party. He agreed and we had a great weekend while he was here (we were still only friends). Then he went back to Florida and I guess had a change of heart because he called a couple of weeks later telling me that he wanted to see me again and was interested in pursuing an actual relationship. He came back the next month to see how things would work out and once again had a great weekend with him and my friends. We officially started dating on Jan 15th this year...
Here's the kicker...I'm going to Japan in a few months because of my work and I'll be there for at least three years. We're already in a long distance relationship which makes things difficult but it's going to be even harder once I move to a completely difference country on the opposite side of the world. Plus we won't be able to see each other every couple of months like we've been doing....
Which brings me here, looking for support, advice, suggestions, and knowing that there are other people out there who are going through the same thing....
