Lurker coming from the shadows to say hello!
Hi everyone!
I've been lurking around the site for a little bit now and figured it was finally about time to introduce myself because reading through the posts has helped me out quite a bit.
My name is Heather and my wonderful SO and I have been together for about 1 year, 7 months. All of it LD. We're about 8 and a half hours apart (depending on who's driving!), Maryland to South Carolina. Luckily, we're able to see each other every couple of months... and I am currently in the early stages of closing the distance. Eep!
We've known each other for awhile... starting back to a summer music camp (not just band camp!), where I was a junior counselor and he was a camper and I hated him.
The summer after that, we were both counselors, and there was casual indifference. Then the next summer, we were making out on a couch out of nowhere. Though we had a week long summer love and the feelings were there, things didn't progress because of school and distance, but we stayed friends, just had an insane amount of chemistry between us. A few years later, we took another trip down the feelings road for a few months, but were again in completely different places in life and actually ended up breaking off contact for awhile because things went sour. A couple years later and here we are... together and together for good. Guess third time really is the charm!
Anyway, I'm super happy to be a part of this community and look forward to getting to know all of you and share our experiences!
