    Love.Giggles.N.Cupcakes

    Hello all,

My name is Tanya, I'm from Timmins, Ontario, Canada and have been in an LDR for 8+ months now with Ty who lives 3 hours away in Sudbury, Ontario.

People who know me best say that I'm silly, loving, caring, trustworthy, sweet, emotional, blunt... and they're always afraid people will take advantage of my kindness and find themselves wanting to protect me.

What I love most about Ty is his sick sense of humour (like my own), the way he makes me laugh, his limitless imagination and the things he comes up with o.O, how sweet and thoughtful he is, how he loves me no matter what I say/think/do and his dedication to not wanting to let me go, his determination in getting what he wants, his work-ethic, and how at the end of the day he needs to be taken care of, his willingness to take care of me and love me.

Our anniversary is October 10th, and on the 10th of every month, we try to do a little something special to celebrate the occasion and for having made it this far and through all the struggles and for still loving each other and being committed to each other as we are.

I've been in short term long distance relationships before, I never thought of myself as the type to endure them because it is simply too hard emotionally and on the heart.

But when I met Ty though a BBW & admirers forum we were both members of, the little distance (3 hours) between us quickly got us curious about one another (both of us being from northern Ontario). Shortly after meeting on the site, we found out we had a mutual friend after I shared a picture of him with her, she realized she knew him and wasn't long after where she provided him my MSN email and we quickly progressed to chatting for hours online every day for 2 weeks, quickly bonding, having so much in common, and the immense amount of comfort, trust and acceptance we felt together... we made it official October 10th, 2011.

Like any relationship, especially LDRs I believe, we've had a lot of struggles and disappointments in trying to be together. We have tried many many times, but something has always happened to knock us down.

Through 8 months and still the little distance between one another, we have only been able to be together in person once in March. It was the best 3 days, and neither of us wanted me to go home. Our hearts sank as I climbed back on the bus, as he walked to his car and I watched him... he even texted me and called me on the bus ride back home to let me know he felt a piece of him was missing. :'( <3 During those 3 days, we had our 5th month anniversary and he gave me a promise ring and we exchanged other gifts with one another.

This, is mostly the reason I have subscribed to this forum. I am finding myself having a hard time continuing on every time we get knocked down but what keeps me going is my love for him, his love for me, and how I want a lifetime spent with only him by my side!

I do believe we've made some significant changes in our lives in order to allow us more opportunities of being together, and potentially, *fingers crossed* some day, be together, live together, have a family and have all that we dream about having together (which includes own our very own little zoo )

I'm looking for strength, hope, faith, especially when I have the least of it because this surely isn't easy.

Thanks for reading my story. I look forward to reading your stories, challenges, and triumphs and hope to make some friends who understand all too well how hard it is and what I'm/we're going through.
