Hello hello
I am Bluestars from the old forum. My real name is Kaylee, and I am in a long (I think short distance relationship(sdr) might be a more accurate term?) distance relationship with a wonderful boy named Jared. I am twenty, and he is four years and nine months older than me, so practically five. We met eleven months ago on an online dating site called OkCupid. I randomly joined it with my friend as a joke to because we wanted to see who it would match us up with, but we both ended up getting really into it! About a week after I joined on Friday, February 13, I received a message from a boy named Letawookiewin about a band that we both liked. We began to email each other back and forth, and about two weeks later we began chatting on AIM.....every single day. Soon, we were talking on the phone with each other every night, and it was obvious with our flirting that we both liked each other. The only problem was that we were 800 miles apart.
However, around a month after we started talking, Jared made plans to visit his sister during spring break and go to a concert two hours away from her house. He was going to meet up with a friend, but she backed out at the last minute. I very happily told him that I would go with him, since it was coincidentally two hours from my college, and he agreed under the condition that I bring a friend. On April 17, we met in person, and we have been official ever since.
He drove to see me three times during three months during the summer, and I flew to see him for a week before my school started back. He flew to see me when school started, and I flew to see him 3 times last semester. Basically, we got to see each other every month, a large part of which was due to his dad, who paid for our tickets.
Jared's dad received a job offer in North Carolina only an hour away from my school, and he ended up taking the job this December. Jared graduated this past December, and his dad helped him move to North Carolina the next day. Things seemed to fall into place. He lives an hour from my school now, and two and a half hours from my hometown. Jared is living with his dad now until he can get on his feet. Right now, he has been looking for a job for over a month now.....hopefully he will get one soon! Right now, we are in the process of transitioning.
