Glad to see others in similar situations

    Hi
I have been in a LDR (officially) since February.
She lives in the USA and I live in England. There is about 4,000 miles between us.
Not only do we have the long distance to deal with, making this relationship hard, but we have the added problem of immigration officers on my case because I'm visting the US "too frequently" which they have deemed to be suspicious.

After my last 4 week visit, (i got back just over a week ago) I have been finding it a lot harder than before, and this forum/website will hopefully help me get through the harder times

Feel free to ask me any questions

    thanks
    ~McNab

      Welcome
Wow, I'm already worried about the io when I get there on Thursday.
May I ask how often you have been over there and how long your visits were and how long the time between visits?
I was there beginning of June for two weeks and now I'm going there for five weeks and I'm already pretty nervous even though I have a letter from my employer...

Welcome to LFAD! I always fear the immigration officers in the US, even if I know I didn't do anything wrong!

I really feel for those of you in international LDRs and having to deal with immigration each time you visit your respective SOs. It does make me thankful that my SO is in the same country (though opposite sides of it) and we don't have to deal with those issues. The strength that couples in international LDRs show really does inspire me.

Welcome to LFAD! Hearing so much about US immigration makes me glad I'm on the US side of things and am usually the one doing the visiting Good luck with your travels, people here should have some pretty good advice on how to make it easier for you.

Just under 4 weeks, this when we decided to be official

              June 17 - July 15, 2012
12 weeks since the last trip. Got taken into secondary questioning, though was only in waiting room while asked basic questions and searched luggage

Next trip is September 12 to October 7
3 and half weeks, 9 and half week gap since last trip. Like I said, friends wedding is why this trip scheduled so soon.

Everyone else, thanks for the support
