My name is Michelle and my relationship began April (when we met) although we officially started dating in June. I actually almost didn't meet my boyfriend. I was coming home from St. Louis and 2 planes at my gate broke down. We (I had been traveling with my robotics team) made it with two minutes to spare. Most of the time all of the teams tickets were next to eachother but for that flight there wasn't. Last time I wasn't next to someone I knew I got put next to a crazy lady who smelled. But when I sat down next to me was a very attractive guy around my age. He introduced himself then my friend gave me a coloring book and after awhile he started teasing me then picked up a crayon and colored with me. After a bit of talking we learned that my cottage was across the lake from his home. He said we should hang out but didn't ask my number. So as the plane descended without him knowing I wrote my name on the page and folded it up and gave it to him. Two hours later I got a text that said "Is this Michelle?

He ended up asking me to his senior ball about two weeks later or so and we met up where he lived. That was the day we pretty much started dating. Then on ball night he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. We spent most of the summer together although our relationship was somewhat already long distance (about an hour away.) Now that he left for college yesterday I wouldn't mind hearing about how other cope with the distance and advice. (He's in Florida, 1311 miles away.)
