Hi there! My name is Eva and I am from Canada. (There seem to be a lot of Canadians here!) Tony is from the US. We have been in an LDR since November of 2011. We met on (wait for it!) World of Warcraft! We played together for several months before deciding to give LDR a shot ... and here we are more than a year later. We are very different people, but we somehow click.
We have been found this website several times when looking for ideas of things to do together! A forum full of other LDRs just seems so encouraging.
Our Timeline So Far:
March 2012: Met in person for the first time! He flew to Canada to visit my family and I. I was soooo very nervous!
August 2012: He surprised me with a visit for my birthday! My whole family and work were in on it and I had no idea! (They'd arranged that I'd have time off of work to spend time with him for a week. I thought I was working!) That was a fantastic surprise.
November 2012: I visited him and his family. The visit ended up super messy and awful and I'd rather not get into it in too much detail. But I think we are stronger for it.
We're hoping to have another visit in March of this year. Our other goal is for him to get into college here for next fall. He'd be able to stay for a few years while studying, then apply to be a permanent resident. We'd love any thoughts on this!
Everyone here seems super positive and sweet!
