    Hey from London!! ^^

    Hey everyone i'm Jessi!!
i actually joined this whilst i was upset about the distance that me and my SO have, so i was trying to look online for forums to see other people who are going through similiar things and stumbled upon this one. It's difficult for me to explain me and my SO right now, because we haven't met in real before but we're pretty much like a couple but i dont want to label him officially as my boyfriend yet atleast until me and him have met in real. Hes from California whereas i'm in london (uk) But i have never met someone so amazing for me i really do believe hes worth the wait despite the distance being so difficult, what makes it worse is that i have to deal with depression, which makes the wait for me really unbearable at times. we have known each other for a atleast a year now but we hit a rough patch at one point because i found the distance too hard to deal with so there was about a few months where we didn't speak and we dated other people, but we came back to each other again because we realised that we only want each other. But i'm looking forward to speaking to everyone ^^ especially people who also have a usa/england LDR.

    xoxo

Aw, I'm new too (: welcome! I'm from the USA, and my SO spent all last year studying abroad in Europe, so I feel your pain. Now he's only halfway across the US, thank goodness, though it's still way too far for visiting more than a few times a year.

Welcome to LFAD! Distance does take its toll, and I can't imagine how hard it must be for you in particular if you're struggling with depression. LFAD is a supportive group, and we all know the hardships of a LDR, so I think the people here understand the dynamics of an LD couple like yours a bit better. Also, btw, I think there is a thread about people in LDR's who are also battling depression or other disorders.

Well then it's a welcome to you too ^^ !! It really does amaze me how everyone copes. But i guess when you really feel it in your heart that the person is the one then it makes it all the more worth it to endure the distance, it really is worth it in the end. Whenever i feel down i try to remind myself that this is only temporary for a lifetime of happiness (hope that made sense)

Thank you for the welcome I really do feel so glad to have found this group, to see others who are going through the same. i'll definitely have to check out threads about those who are in LDR's with depression, that would definitely help with my situation. But thank you!!
i'm really happy with how supportive everyone seems to be, it makes me feel very welcomed.

                          Welcome to LFAD.
I think for most of us "spells" of depression might kind of go hand in hand with LSRs..
Many times i can sit just thinking and more or less depress myself thinking about things my SO and i have come through and the stuff we have yet to work out..
One of the biggest things is to be willing to work them out and get through it together.. Doesn't seem to matter if the relationship is 10 miles apart or 10,000, As long as your willing to put in the effort required and always communicate with your SO you should be fine..

                          Enjoy your time with us!
