Hi everyone!
I found this site accidentally, but I'm really happy I found it cause this whole LDR-stuff is completely new to me.
I'm 24-years old girl from Finland and my boyfriend is the same age and luckily not further away than Sweden. So flying from our capital cities takes like only 1 hour (+ all the waiting in airport, buses forth and back from airport to the city etc.). But still I know after reading your posts that the distance could be so much worse!
We met during our exchange semester abroad in Asia. We met the first time on the FIRST day of his arrival, on the housing building's front doors. He was talking to a guy I already knew and I went to introduce myself. It could be called "love at first sight", I still remember the feeling of meeting him the first time.
ahhhh. After a couple of weeks of getting to know each other we were inseparable.. for the whole semester we basically lived together, so when it was time to go back home in the summer we were both devastated. 
Now we see each other like every 2-3 weeks. It tears me up every single time I have to say good bye, even if its only for a few weeks. It just feels so unfair that we can't see each other that often anymore. Hopefully we can "close the distance" next year at some point!! Now we are using WhatsApp and Skype the most to communicate... thank God for technology!
