Since I am not long lurking... *creeper smile*

**edit** "no longer" haha great first impression. Sorry!

    Hi everyone!

I am not sure exactly how to introduce myself, especially since there are certain details I would rather be safe than sorry with...
My boyfriend is a Search and Rescue (SAR) swimmer for the US Navy and is living on a ship all the away across the country from me here in Brooklyn,NY.
We met seven years ago during our first year of college in his hometown (in the state of NY) where I went away to school. We had a very brief stint of making-out as a 17 and 18 year old before the dramas of college allowed it to come to an end. I left the school and returned to the big city, he disappeared.

Cut to me always wondering what the hell happened to him and hoping he was OK.
Cut to Facebook about a year ago, finding out he had gone and traveled the world having quite the adventure, then joining the Navy. Mean while I had my own adventure of attending two more schools and having five majors before attaining my Bachelors, and beginning to work on my Masters while working my dream job (I completed my Masters in May)!

Cut to now... we have been speaking for a few months. He came to visit me in November and we have been together (romantically, not physically haha) ever since.
I got to see him just two weeks later when he asked that I make the trip to the place he grew up in/I spent my first year of college in and the family approved

Neither of us ever thought we would ever be in a long distance relationship, we thought it impossible. So far, it is turning out to be one of the best relationships I have ever been in. I am falling in love with him every day, and learning that you never know what life will throw at you.

I look forward to chats with all of you!

    All the best,
    Stormy
