    Greetings from Atlanta!

Hello everyone! Just stumbled across this site and I am super glad I did. After reading through many threads I have realized that everything I think and feel is completely normal in a long distance relationship. I thought I was the only one who could name every date we were together. Glad I am not the only one! My SO and I met on Facebook. He is a HS friend of my youngest brother, but I had never met him (my brother is 9 yrs younger than me and I was gone and married by the time they became friends). He lives in NY and I moved to Ga 9yrs ago. We actually met because his younger sister passed away...as did mine, which is how we started talking on Facebook. So we both admit that one thing good came from their passing....although we would both give anything to have our sisters back. We see each other at least once a month, but over the summer we were lucky to see each other every three weeks. I have three children (24,14,11). He has none. Both currently going through divorces. His ex wife is actually dating a friend of mine....small world! We've been together for 18 months. I am going to NY on Thursday for the weekend. We are going to see phantom of the opera on Broadway and I a so excited to see it with him. I a just looking forward to seeing him and smelling him again! I am sure all the ladies know exactly what I mean!

I am glad I found this site! Just reading the threads have been very helpful already!!

        Hi and welcome to LFAD!

My SO used to live in Atlanta, so I've been there a bunch of times! I love it and miss a lot!

TaraMarie, glad the forum has already been helpful. It's nice to know you're not alone, right? Settle in and get cozy!

When we love, it isn't because the person's perfect, it's because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly.

True love does not worry about the distance between, for the heart and soul travels through one's words

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can ever tear them apart.

1 universe, 9 planets, 7 continents, 194 countries, 50 states and 10 provinces...and I had the privilege to meet you.

              Hey TaraMarie...welcome to LFAD....
Love is patient and kind. It does not envy or boast; is not proud, rude or self-seeking. Love is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs. It does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I know exactly what you mean about his smell. I miss my honey's smell soooo bad! He gave me one of his shirts which I sleep with every night. I hated when his smell went away. I'm about ready to send it to him, so he can wear it awhile and send it back!

I'm jealous about the Phantom of the Opera, too. I love the music to that and would love to see it.

This. I usually get a "new" shirt on every visit, which he wears during the visit. The first one came in the post when I asked for it sometime last spring. His reply was that my care packages were getting weirder and weirder but he does it for me. And I'm sure it makes him happy too knowing that I want to wear his clothes with his scent on them.

And WELCOME! I've actually seen you around, but was very nice to read your story.
I'm so sorry both of your sisters passed away. Atleast you both know what it is like and can support each other.
