Hello everyone Happy to have found such an active and supportive forum!
A bit about us (that's what we're here for, right?): We became friends early in high school and a began dating a year or two later so I suppose we're high school sweethearts. We were short-distance from 2005 until 2011, when I left for veterinary school 1200 miles away. We've visited regularly over summers and winter breaks these last three years (and got married May 2013) but as my fourth (and final!) year begins at the end of May, our visiting will have to be changed a bit (and I expect won't be quite as fulfilling as visits past, due to time constraints).
The end is in sight though: I will be home at the end of November for good We'll be living in my parents' basement (as we've done for breaks past) until I discover if/where I obtain a position for post-graduate training; when we know where that will take me, the plan is to start house hunting. As excited as I am to reunite after three and a half years of LDR, I am even more excited to build our home together and enjoy all of the little mundane things that daily life entails.
Funny that I should join this forum now, at the "sunset" of our LDR, but I hope I can contribute sound advice and a kind ear to those embarking upon or plodding through their own LDR. Thanks for reading
