Hello everyone, I joined the community to be able to get advice from others and see other points of view in LDRs to get a feel for whether or not some of the things I do are normal in these types of relationships. I am 17 and my SO is 16, I currently live in Wyoming and she is 5,000 miles away living in Spain as she is a part of a military family. We met back in 2011 as friends and have recently within the past year and a half continued to keep in touch with eachother. Almost every summer since the summer of 2011 we have gotten the chance to see eachother as friends since her grandmother lives in the same town as my dad does and she would come to visit her. We have been going strong since July 16, 2014 and have plans on attending college together, or near eachother at least. This is both our first relationship, and it being long distance at such a young age shows me that we are both dedicated to making this work. Just thought i'd introduce myself to see what everyone else had to say about our relationship!
