Helloooooo! 
New here... I've been visiting LFaD dotcom for a long time now but just today I decided to give a go and register, at last!
Name's Patrícia, 22 years young (: I'm originally from Portugal but I have been living in Angola (not as far down as South Africa but nearly there) for 4 years now.
My SO is from Germany. We met in early March this year on a social app (Meowchat) and on the 16th of April he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes because... how could I not? We have all the good things in common and the not so good ones, we are immediate opposites on, which is personally good for both, for what I lack he has and what he lacks I have - this is something we always agreed on. We texted a lot, Skyped and played online games together for a month and a half until on the 15th he said he'd like to take me on a "date" the next day. So on the 16th we Skyped again, cooked together on cam, watched a movie and he asked me to be his girlfriend!
We don't have specific plans about when we can meet - my job's vacation allowance for this year is already of one week only, so this means we'd either have to tackle this one week around September or so and/or next year my full month vacation. Seeing that I'm still finishing university (another two years, including the remaining of this year) we have mutually agreed on waiting and meeting as chances come. He isn't the kind of guy who runs away from the words commitment, kids, marriage and actually, he was the one going onto them first. So possibly we can close the distance for good when I finish university... This is all too early to talk about, and I do realize it - just sharing with y'all!
Next week he will send me a shirt of his and some other goodies... OH MY LORD I CAN'T WAIT TO KNOW WHAT HE SMELLS LIKE (even if I sound a little obsessed here xD).
I look forward reading y'alls blogs because I enjoy doing it as much as I enjoy watching every youtube video on first time meetings for LDRs :P
