Newbie saying hello.. it's a 2 years LDR and going strong

hello to all. I've just found this site today and signed up to read up on what others go thru in an LDR.

I'm in Asia and my guy is in continental Europe.. UK to be precise..
We've made it work - daily IM, skype etc and visits, both to each other's home country but ugh it is still difficult at times.

well that's a short quick hello for now

Welcome to LFAD, Shanna. Many of us are in international LDR's, so we share your unique challenges.

Hello, thanks for the warm welcome. I'm obviously new to this site but I hope to settle in soon enough..
Just 3 more days to our 2nd year anniversary of having known each other, been together.

Don't you find when you're apart, information like this just becomes all the more important.. Every event, every date, every bit of momentous details, becomes all the more significant. 1st conversation, 1st meeting, 1st date, 1st time "I Love Yous" were said by one or the other or both etc etc ;P .
We then have anniversaries and countdowns to each of those occasions and special events significant to each of us.

Like now, having been a couple for almost 3 days shy of 2 years, and having spent a year together, this 5 months apart, is the longest we've been apart. Ugh I thought I could handle this better but there are days I get soooo cranky I don't even want to count down to it.

hi everyone thank you thank you for making me feel welcomed, and I'm really happy to meet you all. You're all such nice friendly people, and I'm probably gonna be here quite a bit. It helps to have the support of you all who are also in LDRs and LFAD. How do you get past days and nights of sometimes feeling lonesome without your SO. There are days I get by and then there are days I just don't want to do anything, cos I miss him so very much, whenever I think of us being in physically separated..
