My cousin lives in Jyväskylä too, she is studying psychology at university there. Are you a student as well? I've visited Jyväskylä a few times, it's a nice city. For some reason Turku seems to have quite a bad reputation. When I first told people in Oulu that I was moving there everyone apologized.. How nice!

I read somewhere that this isn't even your first time when he 'has' to stay longer. How unlucky you are! Hmm, next time Chris visits I have to think of something like that too to have him here longer.. I'm pretty sure that he would get sacked from work though.. And the passengers waiting to go on holiday wouldn't be really happy to have their pilot missing the flight. I hope Sam can keep his job! I'm sure you enjoy your extra time.

Moi and kiitos! It's amazing to have so many Finns on here! But what can I say.. There is something about those British men.

Wow, I've been to England and Scotland but never to Wales. I would love to! I shouldn't probably ask this but.. Do you find the accent a bit hard to understand? I had hard times in Scotland trying to get what they said..

Roosa I know exactly how you feel! My BF is a consultant and he's always travelling around the world. The time difference is only two hours when he's in England but when he's in Japan or the US...
And I'm studying in Oulu now! I love the place, though Turku is quite nice, too
How lucky I am to have something that makes saying good-bye so hard!

I can really relate to that! So nice to finally meet someone who knows how it feels! How do you usually talk when he is on trip?

What are you studying? If it's not too personal to ask. How nice to hear you live there! Are you originally from northern Finland? I'm going home tomorrow. I like it here but my home will always be there..

Usually we try to find a time that fits in both of our schedules so that we can talk even for a while when he's away. We try to talk every day but of course it doesn't happen always. We use Skype when talking. Usually the Internet connection is quite good in hotels but not always, sometimes it's so frustrating when the call is breaking up all the time.

I started studying German but now I'm changing into education. And yes, I'm originally from here, not far away from Oulu.

Hi Chris! Welcome! So nice that you're both here.

Yeah just tell me about it! He has been to Rome many times recently and the connection is so bad there that it makes us both very frustrated.. We usually switch to MSN if the connection is too bad because is no use asking him to repeat all the time. We try to talk every day as well but sometimes we only get to talk a little before he has to fly. Is your bf addicted to coffee? I think Chris couldn't do anything without it since he has to deal with jetlags all the time.

I wouldn't have imagined that I could find someone in such a similar situation! Both German and education sound really good. I'm studying cultural history.. Must sound boring but I love it. I get to hear that 'ookko nää Oulusta, pelekääkkö nää polliisia' thing all the time..

Chris, hey kulta. Convinced you? Hmm I think you were the one wanting to stalk me on here.

Lol, he does drink coffee but he's not really addicted since apparently it doesn't affect him at all. I have no idea how he deals with the jetlag but he's very good at it. I guess you can sort of get used to it?

Noo, cultural history sounds interesting! I didn't think anyone would use that 'ookko nää Oulusta...' thing anymore! Haha, that's funny!
