Ok, so I'm not in a physical LDR, more like an emotional and time oriented LDR.
His name is Alan. And this is our crazy situation:
We actually see each other everyday, we work together. But we can't BE together right now. We won't be together for about a year.
He is actually married. Now, before you judge, they are legally separated and living in separate houses.
They have agreed not to get divorced until after taxes are finished because they are actually expecting a baby together.
Out of respect for his wife/ex-wife/whatever you want to call her, we have decided to wait to fully pursue a relationship until after the divorce is final, the baby has been born, and she has moved back into the town she grew up in.
So even though we do see each other, we are basically in an LDR of sorts because our time together outside of work is so prohibited. We aren't allowed to talk at work, but he occasionally drives me home.
We don't get to talk on the phone very often because he is living with his parents and they are very disapproving of our friendship right now. He says they'll be more accepting off me when things have died down and they actually meet me.
We mostly talk through hand written notes at work, text/IM while he's in class, and quick phone calls when he goes out to smoke or is driving.
And we don't get see each other outside of work because we don't really want to explain things to either of our families right now. I know my family will be understanding and supportive, but everything's complicated enough that beginning to mix our families and each other would only add to the complications.
And both coming out of bad relationships, we are in no hurry to jump right into another one, even if our feelings for each other have become quite strong.
So, we may not be in a physical LDR and not capable to see see each other. But it feels the same to me. I get to physically see him, but I don't know when the next time I'll get to be alone with him is, or when the next time I'll get to cuddle up on the couch with him is, or the next kiss, or phone call, or hand hold, or even a small hug.
It can be very disheartening some days! And so I decided to come back and seek the support that helped me so much before.
So ya. Hi guys! I'm stoked to be back!
