I'm new to the forum. I've been looking for a place like this, and it seems like this is just what I've been looking for
My boyfriend is American and I'm from Denmark (yes, as in the country in Europe, lol).
We've known each other for 11 years now, dated for about a year in high school when I was on exchange there, but broke up when I went back to Europe (we were only 17 at the time). We kept in touch for a while, then lost touch, but reconnected on Facebook about a year and a half ago, met up again and got back together
A long-distance relationship like this is so effin hard though. We are about 4,500 miles apart and plane tickets are expensive. It sucks, but when we see each other it's all worth it.
I can't wait to get to know people on here and share ups and downs with people who know and understand what it's like

Piece of advice for plane tickets (from and Englishman), try to book them for about 6 months in advance. So much cheaper than only a couple of weeks, also shop around you never know what deals are out there (even if they do take you crazy routes)
