    Italy, Germany … USA!

    Hi everybody,
I’m Kiara form Italy, in love with a guy from Germany, and at the moment we are both studying in the U.S.. Unfortunately, the US is a big country, so we have 2.215 miles of distance! I don’t speak German, he doesn’t speak Italian, so we communicate in English.
I have found this website and thought it was interesting to join this community. This is my first LDR, and it’s nice to know that there are many other people who are living a similar situation!

Welcome! I had a similar situation with my SO. I am from Canada and he is from England and we met in Germany. Makes things complicated for sure.

      Welcome to LFAD!

When we love, it isn't because the person's perfect, it's because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly.

True love does not worry about the distance between, for the heart and soul travels through one's words

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can ever tear them apart.

1 universe, 9 planets, 7 continents, 194 countries, 50 states and 10 provinces...and I had the privilege to meet you.

Welcome to LFAD and my ex boyfriend and I had a similar situation. I'm from the US and he's from Chile, but we met in Canada while studying.

@Dziubka: We will be in the U.S. till May, and then... Europe! It will be "only" 850miles then! Nothing compared to 2250miles that separate us now!

Hey! Mine's a similar situation involving 2/3 of the same countries... He's from the US, we met in Germany, and I'm English (although I wish I lived in Italy!!!)

Isn't it totally weird that you can live in the same country and have a bigger distance than you have living in two different not even neighbouring countries? The world is such a crazy place.
If you're lucky and there's ryanair or some other other cheap airline connection between your cities you can really see each other a lot

It's about 1000km between me and my boyfriend, too.

Not right after but a couple of months after, he couldn't handle the distance. We are best friends now
