    Hi!

    Hi everyone

My name's Rachel and I'm 20. My other halfs name is Wayne. I live in the UK and he lives in Canada. We met online last July and in October we were finally together with the intentions of spending the rest of our lives together.

Only, in February we had some terrible news and I had to come back to the UK. I've been here almost two weeks now and it's been really tough. We don't really know when we will be together again either, which is I think the worst thing. I'm not ready to share all the details right now, but we pretty much just have to wait for something to happen, but we don't know how long it will take.

We know it will be this year sometime, and Wayne has told me around 6 months. I would rather know an exact date as this is the worst part about it. But, after reading some of your stories guys 6 months seems like a really short time.

I think being on this forum is really going to help me. He's my everything and due to complications, we're barely going to be able to Skype. He's promised we will never go a day without speaking though, and I'll never have to go a day without hearing his voice which is something.

The plan was I would fly back out there again when I had to okay. Saying goodbye to him at the airport was so tough. But today he told me when everything is done, he is going to fly here to come and get me, and he is going to stay here for a month so I can show him all of the UK (never been before). So, I guess I can now keep myself busy with planning our month long tour of the UK!

Then we can fly back to our home which is a sailboat, and we can start saving to live our dream of sailing the world together on the boat he built with his own two hands <3

    Once I get typing I can't stop!
Thank you guys and I'm really hoping this place will be a great support during those really tough times ahead.

    Rachel!

When we love, it isn't because the person's perfect, it's because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly.

True love does not worry about the distance between, for the heart and soul travels through one's words

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can ever tear them apart.

1 universe, 9 planets, 7 continents, 194 countries, 50 states and 10 provinces...and I had the privilege to meet you.

Welcome to LFAD! I'm sure this site will be a great help to you.
"Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest human beings infinite distances continue,
a wonderful living side by side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them
which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky."
          - Rainer Maria Rilke

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet,

Hey welcome to the forums, I hope things improve. I know how hard it is to leave one's SO and not have any proper plans to see each other again. I got back from the UK about 2 weeks and we're not really sure when we'll see each other.

Sorry you're in the same *boat* as I am but it's nice to know I'm not alone in this situation.

I've kept myself busy all weekend by planning his month long stay in the UK whenever that is. I do love planning trips so I've been in my elements. We had a really nice talk Saturday night and I told him the feeling I get since we're apart that I can't shake almost feels like fear. Fear of when we'll see each other again and he told me that as long as I'm not scared of us, and our future then I've got nothing else to fear. Which, has made a big difference to me.
