Hi everyone. I stumbled to the site and the forum after I asked a person that I follow on Twitter about long-distance relationships. She gave me a link to a site, then that site gave me a link to this site. It's amazing what you can find on the internet.
Anyway, I decided to join the community because I am interested to know about other LDRs and maybe some new ideas for my boyfriend and I.
I live in Canada, and my boyfriend lives in Ireland. We have a 8 hour time difference. Being in university and him in high school, it's tough to find the time to talk. Skype is our main line of communication and that's how we started the relationship in the first place. We don't web-chat often, we feel more comfortable just talking. We're madly in love with each other, and this relationship is our first one, so there were many bumps along the road. It's been 8.5 months now, and we haven't met, yet. We have plans to meet on July 10th, a year after we started going out, and he is coming here. I really can't wait to finally meet him in person.
I'll get my bf to join, too, since we found this place together.
I hope to be active at this forum. It seems like a great community.
