Hi there!
First I'd like to say, that Google really is a great tool and that this site really is a treasure trove of information and stuff on LDRs. Hooray for the internet!!! Finding support and like-minded people a few decades back would have been really difficult, I guess.
Anyway, I'm in a LDR with this amazing young man, which for us means being 5341 miles and a 1-hour-time difference apart. (Austria - South Africa, anyone?)
We met each other during my overseas internship in his town and have been in love with each other not long after. Actually, it wasn't as simple as I made it sound, but that is a story for another thread in a certain subcategory.
As of right now, we've been onto that ride we call a relationship for 3 months and a week already and we are still happy together! What makes us especially happy is the fact, that my SO is going to visit me summer next year and we can go travel together again. That's enough for now. We're going to think about closing the distance for good after that holiday together...
