My name is Li, and I joined just this morning. I don't really know what to say, so I'll just ramble a bit
My SO and I met in high school, he was newly enlisted, and I was thinking of military service myself. I guess we were doomed to be in a LDR from the start, since I had to move halfway through my sophomore year.
Between his junior and senior year of high school, he went to his Basic training, and I got a bitter taste of distance. It was always a mini celebration on my part whenever I received a letter from him.
Now, I'm going to college and ROTC, while my SO is cheering me on from over 6000 miles away. I hadn't seen him much during my junior and senior year of high school, his MOS calling him away. I'm going to be entering my junior year of college when he returns.
I've already read a few posts, and it's a comforting feeling to see how everyone is so friendly and supportive. I hope here I can find friends and emotional support when things seem tough.
So. I'm done talking now. Thanks for reading
