My boyfriend and I already talk very comfortably about being married and living together...in fact I just say stuff like "when we live together" as opposed to the old "if we ever live together" thing. We both want to finish college first, so maybe after that . Who knows, sometimes you just gotta go with the flow and see where life takes you.

when my guy and i actually start officially dating, i already know that we aren't going to be getting married anytime in at least the next 5 years or so due to his current pending divorce situation which while his divorced will be finalized in January, he said he wants to take a few years to enjoy not being married ect.
But honestly it's one of those things you either know or you don't, the last guy i was engaged too, i completely didn't expect it and it was really sweet, but the first guy i knew he was acting pretty suspicious and then he just came out and said the reason i'm being suspicious is i want you to marry me, it wasn't romantic, but i said yes.

I dont know. Earlier this month, I recieved a text from my SO asking me, "Whats your idea of a wedding? Whats your idea of a proposal?" and I thought this was a sure sign but then he also asked, "How many cups of sugar does it take to go to the moon?" and I was like oh, he's not serious. I asked him why the curiosity and he said his friends wanted to know...figures.
And I have forgotten about it so I didn't mention it to him the last time I saw him. I will when I see him again.

We have already talked a lot about this topic. We know we both want to marry each other and have kids and all that. We have talked that once we close the distance he will probably propose about six months after that as long as all goes well. So since we are talking about closing the distance in the next six months I'm thinking I might be engaged by about this time next year.

I'm not sure if there's a sign, because all relationships are different. I'm the type of person who wants to know stuff... like I wanna know what happens at the end of the book or the movie. I often ruin it for others lol. Mind you, I've never been proposed to but I believe I'd want it to be a surprise.

I sort of suspect that scrutinising a partner's behaviour for signs they may be about to propose before they actually do is a very good recipe for winding up hurt and disappointed, and is possibly a little crazy-making, too.
It's possible your SO might pick up on the weight of that expectation, too, even if they didn't know what it was.
Just my two cents.
