Hmmm. What I wanted to say has already been said. If you could take a step back and see what we are seeing...I see him manipulating you. 
A break to "see what a normal relationship is..."....I would be like...see ya later. We all make sacrifices in LDR's...and trusting and loving and accepting are all part of it. So you won't be talking much for a couple of months...so he wants to break it off during that sound. Something is WAY off.
