Need some support

as some of you may already know, my fiance isn't in the best of health. he had a benign brain tumor 2 years ago and has had health issues since. he recently had a liver biopsy and today he got the results. he called me at work and asked me if I wanted to know what the doc said. I said if its bad news he needs to wait until I get out of work. he then said that he will wait until I get home. he did tell me that he's insisting on getting a 2nd liver biopsy so hopefully his insurance company won't give him too much of a hassle. there are only a few "bad" results from a liver biopsy, namely cancer, cirrhosis, and liver failure. when he calls me he's in all likelihood going to tell me one of these. I'm barely holding it together now but if I let my mind wander about things I'm going to turn into a blubbering mess. I think I'm going to need all of your support shortly.

I always look forward to his phone call but now I don't want my phone to ring..

To be quite honest… from experience…busying your mind only prolongs getting through a traumatic event. Eventually it all comes to you... However, to stay focused at work I don't really know... I'm sorry I'm not much help.

I agree with this. Whenever you start to feel anxious about it or get nervous just take some really deep breathes and try to relax, easier said then done i'm sure.
