I've been there. We loved each other, but we were getting extremely busy pursuing our own life goals. He can't move to my country any time soon due to language barrier issues, and I'm not moving to his country because it would be BACK to the country I was born in but worked hard to immigrate out of. Which would kind of defeat the purpose of 10 years of mine and my family's life. Due the situation, there was no other choice but to split.

I can only hope that in time I will at least have a friend in him.

Thanks a lot guys. Faded, I hope you two can be friends at some point too. The fact that we can be friends, which he's never done with any of his exes makes me happy. I'm also the first break up for him that didn't end explosively. I have the title of best gf I ever had! Least to him lol.
