That's ridiculous!! My bank letter was from a bank account that I had literally opened a week before my VAC appointment, because my old bank wouldn't give me a proper letter with all of the required information. I hope someone sensible reviews it and that you have more luck with them!!

Ahh that's a lousy reason! I hope you get someone who is more sensible and knows what they are doing to recheck it and hopefully it doesn't take that long!

I was just reading a facebook group I'm in, for people coming to the UK on the SWAP program from Canada (working holiday visas) and a lot of people have had the issue with this one particular guy at the UKBA rejecting visas on a rule that doesn't officially exist. If someone else reviews it, it should be fine, but apparently reapplying with the specific dates (ie, the bank letter dated the date the application is done at the VAC centre) works fine too. I don't get that, it's completely ridiculous. I hope it turns out ok for you both!!

I hope everything works out as well! Very weird and stupid reason to get rejected.

My fiance has his visa interview Tuesday and it's so nerve-racking...fingers crossed all goes okay.

I totally feel for you. The UK has such an awful immigration system. I was trying to get in myself. I planned to get my master's degree over there so I could live there on a student visa because we ultimately want to end up over there. Needless to say our plans fell through because the Universities say that I can't get a visa for going part-time (I have to take this intro course first which is not offered full-time and of course not offered in the states because we have a whole different system when it comes to the degree I want) even though on the website it says NOTHING about that! Not to mention some of the immigration officers can be real jerks (even though I know it's their job...it's just annoying)! I had my hopes up so high too. I didn't want to live with the reality of being stuck in the US at all but eventually I had to.
Anyway, I hope the review goes well for you two!

Captivated, good luck to you and your fiance too!

What are the chances you think that the guy is the one that did Suds visa?! XD We just have to hope that he can keep the job he has here still, gonna be difficult if not. This has given me some hope lol, i guess i'll keep my fingers and toes crossed!
