im not posotive iff thats how it works though..
Usually airlines will only allow standby now if you have a family member who works for the airlines. Going standby sucks because you aren't guaranteed a seat. I fly non rev (no reservation) through my dad and it sucks because sometimes I don't get a seat right away or at all and I spend all day sitting at the airport hoping for a flight it's not fun.

Try priceline.com they will let you name your own price and you can usually get flights for the price you name (it's always worked for me).

Also a lot of airlines have tacked on a $30 summer travel fee from now until the week after labor day to help them get more money.

I'm trying to get to Chicago for less than $300 before August, but it's not looking promising for anything but a 28 hour long greyhound trip

never buy last minute, it's usually more expensive

if you go to bing.com and search it will tell you if the prices will go up or down

I'm looking at going from Stockholm, Sweden to London, UK and was wondering if anyone knew of any cheap airlines that would let teenagers fly alone? I've looked on SAS, but they seem to be quite expensive :/

It depends on your age, I have been flying alone back and forth between London Heathrow and Stockholm alone on British Airways since I was 16.

I will always recommend British Airways, they are the best. The staff are so friendly and helpful and you get a lot for your money.

                      Ryanair, easyjet?

Distance doesn't matter when two hearts are loyal to each other.

Ryainair are good but you have to be 16 to fly with them, and I wont be 16 then :/ And easyjet don't fly from Stockholm to London, which is really strange and annoying because you can fly with them when you're 15 :/

adioso.com has really cheap flights i found one from seattle to orlando for less than $200. I think its a newer site so it doesn't have every airport available but if you could get to seattle it'd be worth it.

Is it just me or does this site not work? I enter in the aiport I want, select it from the drop down menu and then when I hit search it just goes back to Anywhere and doesnt search for anything. That's pretty weak...

Yes, I agree - allegiant air usually has very cheap flights. Their catch is that they fly to only certain airports on certain days. So you have to schedule around that. I know in FL they have a couple airports they fly to.

                              Good luck in your search!
