How long do you and your SO talk on the phone for?

Because he works 12 hours everyday (no weekends for 5 weeks) and the fact that his shift ends around 12 am... it's not possible to really talk often. Think I get two calls a week. One during his breaks if he has time for like 15 min. and then one during the weekend for around 1-2 hours. Our contact is limited unfortunately - so I'm glad there's only around 6 weeks between our visits...
to me... 14 hours sounds... yeah a bit crazy... do you ever have time for other stuff?

We hardly ever talk on the phone, about once or twice a month for an hour or so if we're lucky. IM is our primary form of communication and we log in on and off throughout the day to chat

We mainly use private chat on xbox live for voice chats. Those can be anywhere from 2-10 hours or so, depending on what we're doing, if we have places to go, etc. Most of those average around 5 hours though. On busy days we may not have much communication, if any at all, but we at least try to contact one another once a day - ever other day. Lately he has been kinda busy so it's been maybe a few messages online a day or a 5-10 minute phone call just to check in, say hi, and let me know what's going on with him at the moment (his cell service sucks where he's staying at right now).

During the week when he's at work we talk on the phone for 30 minutes during his lunch break and sometimes he'll call me on this afternoon break for 15 minutes and we text throughout the day.
During the weekend we talk for hours and hours! Anything for 3 hours to 11-12 is normal for us. We've had instances where we've talked for hours, slept for 6-7 hours and then called again for hours.

We rarely talk on the phone unless I'm using my phone for a Skype call. We spend more time talking on our respective computers via Skype or occasionally MSN.

We never talk on the phone, haha. The only times we have have been when visiting each other and don't happen to be together (like if I need to toss his keys down when he gets home from work, haha).

But other than that, we text throughout the day sporadically, and IM for a few hours every night, usually skyping for about 30-45 minutes, until I fall asleep! When we first started LD, we could talk online for over 10 hours, but that just wasn't sustainable, particularly with work and the time difference!!

We talked for about an hour (sometimes two, sometimes a little less than an hour) on the phone every night when we were still LD.

We don't often talk on the phone, and it's between half an hour and about two hours when we do. We Skype (Facetime) more often, say every 10 days, and it's usually for a couple of hours, maybe 3-4. We stay in touch throughout the day though via text - as we both have iPhones with data plans, it doesn't cost us anything to text. For phone calls we use Viber or Skype, for video calling usually Facetime. That way the only costs we have is the data plan.

We used to talk every day at lunch time for about an hour, and then every night on Skype or yahoo voice from the time we got home until the wee (and I do mean wee.. like 4am) hours of the morning. When those types of hours started catching up with us due to lack of sleep, we would sleep together on the phone sometimes with the video still up. It was so cool to wake up through the night and hear him breathing on the other end (or snoring sometimes hehe) and be able to see him there on his pillow just a fingertip away. When we first met and were getting to know each other before the phone calls, we would talk on Second Life for literally all night and every spare moment. He's not a talker, so that said a lot right there

My SO doesn't really get days off and so we don't get to talk as much. Our conversations range from 2 - 30 mins about once per week. and I text him once or twice every day.

When we're LD we talk on the phone every night for about an hour. It really depends on his work schedule and my class schedule. Sometimes he doesn't get off work until 1am and on those days it's a very short goodnight call!

We text throughout the day, only stopping for class and work.

He used to not have internet so we only got to Skype twice this school year. On those days we stayed on Skype for as long as possible, probably about 5 hours.

Well it depends on the work schedule. Lately we've been able to get it so that on work days we skype once in my morning/his night for between 60-80 minutes, once in his morning/my night for between 60-90 minutes, and depending on what I'm doing that day, we'll IM eachother. Sometimes it's just an occassional message, other times it's full-blown conversations about antics at work, an article I stumble upon, or even rough draft plans for a trip to where the other is ^^.

Weekends are the days we'll cam for 6 hours easily, whether that be gaming online or just talking. Then we'll leave the cam on until it's time to wake him for work the next morning. <3

We talk 3 times a day, everyday. When I wake up the first thing I do is reach for the phone. Usually speak for about an hour. Then I call him again before I go to work in the afternoon for about 15-30 mins and again when I finish work to say goodnight. Its very expensive to call South Africa though. the phone bill has been averaging at about £210 per month. Would be a lot more if I didn't use an international calling code for 8p per minute.
