Youtube Airport Meetings?

Jaja! If my SO and I had met online as opposed to CD, I probably would have done this. I started looking up videos of first meetings though. This one made me tear up!

Then post it so I can watch it and cry. Especially get the beforehand stuff, I love seeing the way people are like, "What am I doing. Is this really happening? I can't believe I'm even in the same place as this person right now."

My boyfriend and I both talk about how we wish we had a recording of it because it was one of the happiest, thrilling, most perfect moments of our lives. Even if you don't have it on camera, you will never forget the look on your SO's face. I can close my eyes and see it perfectly... the most amazing smile I've ever seen.

I just watched that one, and it made me smile inside, and tear up a little. My first meeting with my husband was a bit awkward, because my father went with me to pick him up at the hotel at the time... but when we were alone things went wonderfully! I was thinking about recording our next meeting at the airport, when I go over in December... then again, I am not so sure!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who looked up airport meetings. I don't even know what spurred the late night search ;x They left me with bittersweet feelings. My boy doesn't want to do that though and honestly the nerves of seeing each other for the first time would be enough let alone having someone recording it :P We've even decided to leave our first kiss for when we are together alone

i would have to agree...sooo sweet...h.mikenzi is my SO...and we have been on yahoo together for a while now...just looking at videos on youtube of first meetings...since we will be meeting for the first time in a little over a month...and i have to admit...i got teary...i so can't wait for that day...so many feelings...of excitement...and nervousness...and happiness....and love...i know there will be butterflies all over in my stomach...but that first embrace...will be like heaven

Oh my goodness! I found this thread to post my video, but have been scared off by the UBER ROMANTIC MEETINGS. All you guys have the cuuutest videos! Mine was not at all what I had been anticipating, and is kinda awkward and such. lol. TWAS SO AWKWARD! And every time the camera came out, or anybody was around, things got awkward all over again. So the 'first day together' video that my best friend's dad shot (and narrated. lol.) for us makes it seem like I am this super clingy girl all over this REALLY NON RECEPTIVE guy. Which he really isn't that way at all...except around other people. Sigh.

(Watch for the first few seconds of complaining. "You know you don't have to do that, right?") hehehe. He was SO NERVOUS. I think he felt that if he showed me any affection at all, someone would see it, and cart him away and lock him up. xD He's a real gentleman, and he didn't take my bag! Then when we were out in the parking lot he realized this fact, and took it. lol Anyway. It's not a tear-jerker, but it's mine. And in hindsight, he's really happy we have it.

We got our first meeting after 2 years recorded too. My mom was there so was self concious knowing she was watching, my SO was tired, no sleep for two days, jet lagged, and my mom watching, but after I had watched I think he wanted to kiss me, but I was to flustered to think and with mom there, but ah was amazing, and im glad we got it recorded. Then after our visits i make video collages lol

Hehehe, thank you. ^.^ You know, it's funny, a few minutes ago, I was talking to him about the various videos we made while I was there, and he said, "We should make a lot more videos when you come next month." Really made me happy. ^.^ Even though it was slightly unpleasant, he still loves to watch them. xD We've decided we need to record by ourselves next time, that way we can be ourselves, and have the videos just for us. <3

Because of this thread I ended up watching hours of emotional videos on YouTube last night lol! My SO and I already knew each other for a few years before but I still wish I would have recorded my arrival at the airport our first time as more than friends =3.
