    parents issue about LDR

my parents, especially my mother keeps disapproving of me going into an LDR, which i'm in right now. this is making me feel so frustrated and i don't know what to do. do you all have experiences with parents like this?

Have you tried talking to her calmly about it? Maybe you can figure out why she is so against it and try to persuade her that it isn't such a bad thing! Come up with a list of reasons your LDR helps you (be responsible with money, more focused in school, whatever it may be) and see if that helps! Good luck!

My parents aren't against the idea of an LDR but they don't like my boyfriend, despite never having met him. /: A lot of people just sneak around with their relationships and don't tell their parents, which can get VERY tiring after a while and there's always the guilt of lying to your parents. What comments do your parents make, specifically?

PS: I live in China, and I've lived in Singapore coolcool

haha, my mom kept telling me that i'll be far away from her, that i'll be all alone there etc. maybe she's just worried that's all. also she gets the idea that staying in china might not be as safe as singapore. well, i tried to talk to her calmly, and for now she said she'll not object me being together with him. but well... who knows in future she might change her point of view anyway. side track a bit, you lived in china and singapore too? which part? haha! nice to meet you!
