    His cologne

    Maybe I am a bit strange...or maybe I am normal..lol!

I haven't met my Bf yet...and he told me one day, awhile ago, what cologne he wears. So...went to the store, got some, and I LOVE to smell it. Is that strange?!?! He thinks its flattering..i think it might be strange.

Even if it is strange, I love to smell it, and think of what it will be like when I am holding him in my arms and I smell it on his shirt. NO I DO NOT sit here and smelll it ALL the time!!!! I haven't smelled it in months, and I just found it on my messy computer table, and I smelled it. I can hear him talking when I smell it. I can feel him here with me when I smell it.

Anyone else do something strange like this?

I think thats fine.. But its weird that it came first. Smell is the most memory provoking sense that we have. And since you haven't met him, will his smell, after you meet him, remind you of being apart? I dunno. Its comforting though!! I had to take Pablo to the airport straight after getting off work, so I didnt know until I got home that he had sprayed his all over my bed and pillow.. it was a bit too strong.. kinda made me sick of it. But I am sure I will love it again when I see him again!
    Which cologne is it?

I actually began associating the smell of leather with my SO because he has an old leather racing style jacket he wears when the weather permits him. I even tried getting one to pretend it was his (I dare not try and steal it) but it's so old there's not even something near similar. I think it's normal since scent's a powerful memory agent. I know I feel calm when I can smell my mom's perfume because it reminds me of the better times just like smelling anything that reminds me of my dad upsets me. If my SO wore cologne I know I'd buy it and sniff the bottle whenever I'm sad. Alas he doesn't so I'm left with my improvising. XD

I don't think that it's strange at all. I did the same thing. My SO told me the name of her favourite perfume and I bought it straight away. Also... when I was able to spend 5 weeks with my SO she kinda fell in love with my perfume/my own personal smell. So after I left I sent her my perfume in the mail and she's now spraying it on her pillows almost every night before falling asleep. It's oh so very sweet.

          Not weird at all!
Before my SO came to visit me she did send me a small bottle of one of the perfumes she wears. And I used to smell it every day, and loved it! And then when she visited she brought other perfumes with her, which as she stated above --> I fell in love with! So now I have her favourite perfume, and the rest of the small bottle, plus another coconut-kinda flavoured perfume as well of hers. I make sure I don't spray too much of them though because I wanted them to last.
She sent me a letter recently which she sprayed her perfume on too. Oh it reminds me so much of our time together!

Awwww, that's neat. I agree with the others--it definitely is a memory thing and isn't strange. I slept in a dress shirt of his when he visited (I had a scented lotion on, as I can find perfumes a bit strong sometimes) and he totally celebrated having that shirt with my scent on it once we were away from each other. Then, awesome romantic that he is, he got us some lovely, silky pjs. (They are men's pjs and the idea is that we send them back and forth to each other). Except...I'm totally holding onto them right now (didn't get to wear them as much as I would like, because he is a decent amount taller than me and they're tripping hazard long on me and I didn't really want to share something romantic like that with my parents, so I tried to avoid them seeing when I was wearing them...but I often had them next to me in bed or on one of my pillows).

One loop to throw in there is that scents often smell different once they are on skin. Perfumes and colognes are meant to be warmed by the skin and mix a bit with the person's own smell. So, well, actually, I am not adding a loop...your post made me feel romantic and happy. Instead, I am going to say that I think his cologne combined with his personal scent will help you to engrave even more fond memories into your heart.

Yes! I love the smell of my girlfriends scent mixed in with her perfume. It smells so goooood! So while I do love the smell of her perfume which I spray on my pillows before sleep, as I just did now, I love it more when she wears it <3

Haha i'm not sure it's even close to be the same thing.
But my girlfriend plays volleyball, i haven't seen her play yet tho
So well everytime i watch volleyball on TV i'm transforming all those players to my girlfriend.
Which is kinda cool cuz suddenly i have plenty of girlfriends haha.
can't wait to see her play.

I wish I had something with Alex's scent on it. ^^; lol, it sounds creepy or something but if you think about it it's just normal. I'm going to ask him to send me a blanket or a jacket or something of his for my birthday or Christmas.

It's totally not weird. My SO sent me a package with one of his shirts and a bottle of his colonge. When he sent the shirt, he made sure to wear it for a day so it would smell like him. It was great. And even though it doesn't smell the same as it did (I have since washed it) I'm able to spray his colonge on it so the smell will sorta come back. Like a couple people have said, colonge/perfume smells different on a person. His colonge is Joop (weird name, awesome scent though).

I don't think its normal.. My SO unfortunately doesn't wear cologne which I think is weird, but he says that his body wash smells so it makes his body smell which is still not the same as cologne because none of the scent is on his clothes. I did go to the store and smell this bottle of axe body wash he was using at the time and it smelled really good.
                          He just gets me... <3
