HAVE to share my excitement!!! :D

Okay, so I just wanted to share this first with the community that has helped me so much long distance. No, I did not solve world peace. :P What IS (hopefully) happening, though, is that I think I've found a Samsung Galaxy S III (refurbished, from the U.K.) online that is WAY cheaper than the normal retail price. The seller is 100% rated, and I want to ship it as an early birthday surprise to my boyfriend. I'm forking out a little more than I wanted to, if this deal goes through, but he's been so sad about me leaving, that I'm hoping this would cheer him up a little! He lost his other phone on a night out, so not only would he have a great use for this, it's something he's been talking about for AGES, literally, he mentioned it probably once a day when I was in Ireland this summer.

I feel like especially because I've been busy with school, I haven't been able to do much for him except send him emails, and I always feel like I'm rushing off to class when I'd rather spend all my time in the world with him. I know gifts can't make up for lost time, but I want to send him something that will not only make him feel special, but that will enable him to immerse himself in technology, with a little pizzazz added in. He is the biggest tech nerd I've ever met--he listens to tech podcasts to go to sleep, and he's always reading the newest tech news--so to completely knock his socks off, out of the blue...I can't WAIT to see his reaction if this pans out.

I'm just so excited to do something to brighten his day!! He's also been minding his sister's kids constantly, so I think this could give him a well-deserved break. I know technology doesn't buy happiness, but I just can't wait to surprise him.

What are some things you guys have done to surprise your bf/gf? I'd love to hear stories!

I adore my Galaxy 3, absolutely love the thing. Best phone EVER.

I recently sent my boy a box of salt water taffy straight from the infamous Jersey Shore (Salt water taffy from anywhere else just doesn't compare ). They're a favorite of mine, and since he can't go down the shore with me, I'll send a little piece of it to him. He loved them, btw
