Thinking good thoughts for you and your SO.
My motor runs a lover's heartbeat
    It's just me and you
Put the pedal to the metal
    Baby, turn the radio on
We can run to the far side of nowhere
We can run 'til the days are gone

Oh my goodness! I am as well very sorry to hear this!

The best way to cope with this situation is to stay strong and give him positive vibes. It will be very hard, but your SO just needs some positivity in his life. Especially being hospitalized, he will be surrounded be a lot of sick people. Your task will be to give him a reason to fight against this terrible decease. It has been proven that the cancer patients mood and attitude towards life helps them to achieve positive results. Be strong! You will be in my thoughts as well

I'm so sorry you and your SO have to go through this. You're both in my prayers. All I can say is stay positive, it'll help him stay positive and keep fighting (if it does turn out to be cancer...). Best wishes and hugs to you both! <3

                  Smalll update

thank you all for your kind words. they've really helped me. my fiance will be seeing his doc later this week for a referral to a lung specialist. he's out of the hospital and they did not do a biopsy yet. we're thinking maybe next week sometime. they did xrays and ultrasounds and they said they think he's got small tumors in his left lung. we're going on the wavelength of- no freaking out until we get the results of the biopsy. I try to keep our convos lighthearted but the bad "what-ifs" are constantly running thru my mind. I'm staying very positive for him, as I know he needs this. he's not going to say anything to his family until he knows for sure what's going on. I just hate being in limbo, kwim? whatever's going on with him, I want to know what it is so we know what we're dealing with and how to treat it. when I have results I'll start a new thread.
