Look what I found- Free phone number : many countries!

    https://www.ring2skype.com/

I found a way to stop having to buy a phone number on skype and paying the price. This is for anyone who doesn't know about ring2skype. I signed up for ring2skype and now I can forward calls to a landline.

This would actually be so perfect for me! If I understood it correctly. I use skype a lot to talk to my SO, and well..yeah its "free" but its kinda not..because it uses up the broadband so my family tends to reach the limit...before the month is over so have to pay for extra GB's so it isn't altogether free. So this ring2skype would be amazing!

I live in NZ. My SO lives in Germany. So if I get her to set up a ring2skype number, and get her to pick NZ as the country she wants the number to be located in, then does that mean that I can call that number from my landline and only NZ usual charges would apply? And she would answer it through skype? So it wouldn't cost her at all? (she had unlimited broadband unlik me).

I have the same problem in Australia with limits on broadband so i will be VERY keen to see if this is how it really works - looking forward to hearing more about it
