He is really ill and there is nothing I can do to help. I hate feeling like this, I just want to make him better. Anyone have any suggestions?

If a care package can be delivered fairly quickly, I would suggest that. But otherwise just do stuff he might enjoy or he might like. Take a picture of yourself or send him a drawing, if he's up for just cooling down maybe watch a movie with him over Skype. Stuff that will put him at ease.

I text/call my bf, I ask him what's bugging him, then I tell him to turn off his phone, drink lots of juice, and rest. He never actually turns his phone off lol but I check up on him often. He really apreaciates that, just knowing that he is on my mind and I'm thinking of him.

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I've got a wicked bad cold and all I want to do is cuddle up with my SO. He's so frustrated that he can't be here to help.

I agree it's a horrible feeling seeing the one you love is sick and you can't be there. My boyfriend's been off and on sick the past few months, not seriously sick but a general unwell feeling most of the time, and while I was with him for part of the time he was sick, when I am not able to be there then I feel so helpless and all I can really do is worry and insist he take care of himself. The best thing you can do is be there for them in whatever way you can be. If they need rest, let them have it, don't bug them to chat, but let them know you are there if they want someone to talk to, or watch videos together through skype/other video chat.. if he has a pet or something maybe he can cuddle it as that can help sometimes. Encourage them to get enough to eat and especially enough to drink. I hope he gets better soon.

Yea it always suck when you can't do anything to help, no matter the situation. I think a care package would be a nice idea. You can put things in it that will help him feel better physically and stuff to show him you miss him, love him and are hoping he gets better soon. My SO sent me a heating pad when I was feeling horrible cramps and it made me feel so much better and warm on the inside <3.
