I'm in a never met, we've been together for over a year. UK to US. We will meet in about 8-9 months I hope!

I meet my gf regularly cos she lives in 2 hrs off. But my brother is not so happy he still never met his gf IRL (she lives in Europe, they met throgh online servise faceboo. com,okcupid or originclub almost 1 year ago) and it so difficult to him, especially when I return from dating. He really eagers to met his gf and he booked a flight to meet her. So happy for him

I'm in the nevermets too! We've been friends online for... well an embarrassingly long time and I've been interested in him for a good bit of it but we've only been official-ish for something between a couple years or a few months (it's a long story) so I'm not sure if we're doing good or not. Either way we started getting serious exactly when we couldn't afford transatlantic plane tickets >_< So it'll be a long long long while before we meet.

Still on the nevermet bandwagon due to financial reasons. I've planned to visit for the past two holiday seasons but because it's so expensive to fly half way around the world I haven't been able to afford it (yet).

I also didn't meet him yet... We talk since the beginning of August ... I can't really tell since when we are together because we didn't make it official but we see each other as girlfriend/boyfriend. We will meet in February because I'm going to visit my godfather in Mexico then and so we planned to meet too and spend a week together

I know this thread is almost 2 years old by now but it's the only one I could find on the forum about never-mets. Actually, I found this website just by Googling for "nevermets" and this thread appeared, so I guess it's worthy of a revive instead of making a new one.
On-topic:
I've been with my S/O since November 2015 and we met on the internet. Last week we celebrated 11 months together, basically being "nevermets" (only became acquainted with this term a few weeks ago) and still waiting for next year, where we will definitely meet. We're still both unsure if it will be in January or the end of February, as there are factors that affect the date which are beyond our control; however, we at least know it will be in early 2017. Going through websites like this one and seeing fellow LDR couples, specially nevermets, sharing their stories and how they finally met or how they've been going after meeting inspire us and keep us focused, even on direst moments when we nearly succumb to the unavoidable frustration of being so far apart from each other for a few more months. If they could go through it, so will we.

I am not in the 'never met' category. But there are those here(and probably elsewhere), who have been in a previous LDR, who have met. But in their present LDR, they haven't met yet.
