In short words. I got a visa
In longer words here how it went.
I took a overprized taxi to the embassy. When i arrived and tried to pay with my card it did not work. So he had to drive across half of Stockholm to find an ATM for me to take out some money and then drive me back.
The U.S Embassy is gigantic, i mean huge. I was really impressed by the safety checks and everything. Funny thing is that i noticed that the swedish government and parliament had very bad security compared to the U.S Embassy.
So i waited in line for about 50 minutes. I was lucky to be there so early, there were like 100 people behind me and i was fifth in line
Then i got called up by the guard and had to show him my passport and some other documents and then go through a security check which resembled very much to those at airports.
After that i were sent straight to a guy behind a glas window to which i gave the rest of my papers. Finally i could rest my very tired legs
Almost as the line was lined up outside we got called up to the booths. Suddenly i heard my name got called and i went up.
First thing he asked was where i found the school. And i said that i searched around for lists of schools and i got a very good first impression of the school i've picked.
then he asked if i was to just go at that school or transfer later on, I replied that i will transfer to a higher institute after a few years.
He also asked me if i was going alone which i said i would or if i knew anyone going to that school which i do not. Then he said "So you're the lonely swede trying to make it in California?" and i said "Yeah" to which he replied "You are a very brave man. This visa will last for 5 years and you'll get it in mail in about a week"
