    First time meeting/wardrobe

I will be seeing my SO in person for the first time early next month. I worry about wardrobe. I'm very much a jeans and t-shirt girl and he knows that. I don't own a dress/skirt because I am uncomfortable in them. I don't think we will be doing anything that requires dress up. We will be going to a luau dinner show, but that wouldn't be considered dressy would it? I know I need to do some shopping, just not sure what to look for. I don't want to put forth someone I'm not. What do you think?

I won't be much help here since I was wearing a sweat suit when meeting my SO for the first time, ha. But after that I quickly changed into my jeans and a pretty top. Which is what I wore everyday since I'm not a dress or skirt person either. I think my SO was okay with that. She loves jeans too.

My advice is wear what you have or just buy a nice pair of jeans and maybe two fairly dressy shirts in case. That way you aren't going out of your wardrobe comfort zone, but you can have something slightly more nice if the moment calls for it. You don't need to fancy up for him when he knows what you like to wear already. This is gonna be someone who's gonna see you with your hair mussed in the mornings and looking like a zombie anyway.

I always try to look my best cause it makes me feel great foremost, and when I feel great my SO feels great! I have my really rough looking days too, but I do try my best to look appealing ..my partner does appreciate it too makes him want to look great himself. It depends on the weather on what to wear so I couldnt say, but just be you but look attractive too of course its your honey WOW them!

I just wore jeans and a pretty top that wasn't a t-shirt, but it wasn't...not a t-shirt. I wore a lot of take tops that week.

Definitely wear what you feel comfortable in! The Luau thing won't be fancy, but it would be good to bring something more dressy to wear on nights out (like the luau). If you don't feel comfortable in a dress or skirt, try to find a fun, sexy shirt to wear with your nicest jeans!

Thanks everyone. I was planning on nice jeans and nice tops for the evenings. We will be in FL so day time will be hot...shorts and not really T's. I did buy a dress...I'll bring it anyway, just in case.

Don't underestimate the power of your shoes. A nice pair of comfortable high-heels can take your jeans from casual to dressy pretty simply.
Happily married to the little Canadian boy I never thought I'd meet in person

I'm planning on wearing a new dress that I bought back in summer to see Matt for the first time since December. I reckon something new that flatters you and you feel comfortable in is always the best option.
