    Romantic Disney Tips? :)

Stephen and I will be going to Disneyland CA together for the first time in one week! I really want it to be a magical, romantic experience for the both of us! We're both Disneyland veterans, so we know the park like our own homes...but never known the romantic qualities.

I'm so excited! Exactly one week from this moment, we'll be picking him up from the airport and beginning his spring break vacation here! And then next Tuesday we're taking a turn around trip to Disney!!

See if you can get a reservation at one of the nice restaurants. I have only been to WDL once, and I was really little. I know WDW has a bunch of "nicer" places though (so I'm assuming WDL has them too), so try looking into a place where you can have a fancy dinner.

    2016 Goal: Buy a house.
    Progress: Complete!

2017 Goal: Pay off credit card debt
    Progress: Working on it.

Hmmm..., on first thought Disney doesn't spark "romance" but then I actually thought for a moment and came up with a few ideas because seriously (who doesn't love Disney??!?!?!)

-Spaghetti and Meatballs at Tony's (Lady and the Tramp)
      - A romantic carriage ride!!
      - Dinner @ Victoria and Albert

Not at all meaning to hijack the thread (sorry bethyylovee!) but what's the difference between Disneyland and Disneyworld? I'd always thought they were one and the same, with the names used interchangeably

Disney Land is in California and Disney World is in Florida.

And, in case you're curious... WDL is also the "original", and considerably smaller, park between the two. WDL hosts Sleeping Beauty's castle as the "main" castle whereas WDW's castle is Cinderella's.

Well, for starters, Disneyland is not Walt Disneyland. It's simply "Disneyland." Whereas Walt Disney World, or WDW was named in honor of Walt, as he passed away before the park's opening. Sorry lyonsgirl, hahaha that just kills me when I see WDL. The correct acronym is DLR (Disneyland Resort.) While there are many similarities, there are plenty of differences too. The biggest, to me, would be that Walt Disney was alive for the opening of Disneyland...it was where the magic all started. Walt walked the streets with guests, lived in the park, and rode some of the rides that are running today. So I believe that Disneyland itself has a special magic that Walt Disney World lacks. Not that they both aren't great, but in my own opinion, Disneyland is just a touch more magical.

Also, back on topic...thanks for the suggestions! I think dinner for two was a great idea! I'm so excited!

Ah, yes. I always get the names mixed up a bit. But he lived there?! DLR is definitely "the original", though. The castle tid-bit is just what I could recall off the top of my head.

ETA: The tree house is now Tarzan's?!?!?! Boo. It was much better as the Swiss Family Robinson's... (wikipedia) Last time I visited, it was SFR's, and it's pretty much the only thing I remember from the trip.

DEFINITELY better as Swiss Family Robinson's, there's still some of that left over! I think they changed it to keep up with the modern Disney. I love Disney, I'm just chopped full of info and trivia on the park. It's my favorite place on Earth! I'm excited to get to be there with my favorite person!

Love love love Disney Land! We went when he came and flew into Cali to see me, and it was one of our best holidays. And there was romance, after the firework display at the end, they played "a dream is a wish your heart makes" And we slow danced in the mist of the crowd, was so romantic. I think it's a great date place, your guaranteed a great time.We went twice in Paris, and on one day it rained, poured and we ran hand in hand through it, was wonderful! Riding pirates of the caribean 3-5 times in a row, we literally didn't get off the boat, we were the only ones on it. Some of my fondest memories are of us and something Disney related lol
                      I love you Nathan <3
